About these photos...
You can now have art where you could never have a painting or photograph before -- beautiful on a covered patio, your new spa bathroom, even above a kitchen sink -- moisture doesn't hurt these photographs because they are done on aluminum. It is now possible to infuse photo dyes into a sheet of aluminum making these photos shine with a mesmerizing luminosity while being more archival than photographs on paper. They often look as if they were lit from within. People at the Artist Market in Santa Fe often say, "I feel like I could dive right in." Hope you feel the same way.
I shoot digitally and then manipulate the photos to create a dream-like effect. The photos dyes are then infused into the aluminum with a compression and heat process. They come ready to hang with a built in 1/2" float mount so they stand away from the wall 1/2" giving them a floating appearance that enhances the three dimensional effect people often say my photos have.
I use a high gloss or satin (non-gloss) finish depending on the photo itself. The finish for each photo is noted on the description in the Store along with the size and cost. If you have never been on the tour -- it is a wonderful two-day art adventure where you can visit almost 100 artists working in Eldorado. After the tour, I will be participating in a number of juried 2018 art shows under my tent in beautiful Cathedral Park and Santa Fe Plaza.
